Hmm... My initial opinion would be to prefer the modified render, but I find myself oddly torn. What I like about the original is I imagine myself walking into the room with it looking just like that, the moody light seems somehow more every-day whereas in the modified view the lighting is so absolutely perfect it looks like a magazine image, one you'd look at and admire but know your house wouldn't really look like that. This is difficult, because in the modified render I have a better saturation of detail: the texture of the rafters, the ceiling, and the furniture. But in the original I can see outside so well, which I realize isn't the point of these images, but being able to see outside so clearly seems somehow more plausable to me.

Sorry, I'm rambling. This is wonderful, you showing us both images for comparison, I'm really enjoying it! So, thanks a ton hon; it's been a long day I needed something lovely to look at. :D
